A tourist from the town of Dandridge, Tennessee, died on Friday afternoon while diving into the Molasse Valley near Key Largo.
According to lawmakers, Robert Wayne Chambers, 49, was walking with his family and others at the Sea Dwellers Dive Center when he was reportedly screaming for help.

Deputies said the U.S. Coast Guard ship brought Chambers ashore in the Port Largo area and took him to Tavernier Mariners Hospital, where he died.

In September 2020, a 63-year-old woman in Port Orange, Florida, died while diving with the crew of a diving boat from Key West.
