Nurses at North Kansas City Hospital help deliver a baby on a plane to Hawaii

Kansas City County health workers went on vacation to Hawaii earlier this week, carrying a child on a plane. An event that was captured and widely disseminated on social media.

In a Facebook post on Friday, a nurse in the neonatal intensive care unit of North Kansas City Hospital shared their experiences. He said a woman gave birth about 14 weeks early. The nurse and four other medical professionals took the baby to the bathroom.

He noted that the plane was flying over the Pacific Ocean, the plane landed three hours ago. The delivery group included two nurses from the North Kansas City Hospital, including an assistant physician and a family physician.

“God was definitely there with us,” he said in a note.

In a video shared on TikTok, which had more than 8 million views as of Friday, the pilot was heard announcing that a newborn had been born on the plane. He called for “beautiful applause for the mother.”

Later it can be seen that the emergency medical staff accompanies the mother and child through the corridor of the plane. In the background you can hear the baby crying softly.
