Police say a man has been arrested on a charge of murder on Sunday after he “recklessly” showed a gun with a Grand Prairie during a rally in the backyard and shot dead another man.

Antelmo Ramos Carizales, 46, of Arlington, has been identified as a victim by the Tarrant County Medical Examiner Office. He died of a gunshot wound to the chest, a medical investigator said.

Police said the shooter was 37-year-old Darving Gloria. He was arrested and taken to a Grand Prairie detention center.

Carrizales և Gloria knew each other, police said in a statement. The board did not say how the two got to know each other.

Police spokesman Mark Beseda said in an email on Tuesday. “I do not know the status of their relationship, but there was no violence between the men before the shooting.”

The incident took place shortly before 10 pm on Sunday evening at 2300 May Lane, according to a police statement. The defending officers found Carizales in the backyard with a gunshot wound, police said. They were pronounced dead at the scene.

According to police, investigators concluded that Gloria was gathering at the residence when she shot Carizales, when she showed her gun.

Beseda said. “The suspect was charged with murder, that is, he unintentionally caused the death.”
