Polls close on 23 candidates vying for the House of Representatives

Polls closed in a 23-person race in North Texas to replace Republican Ron Wright, a Republican who died earlier this year under a Covid-19 deal.

The race to represent Texas in the 6th Congressional District, the first hotly contested election of President Hot Biden, is a jungle primary involving 11 Republicans, including Wright’s widow, 10 Democrats, and two others.

If no candidate gets 50 percent of the vote, the race will go to the second round. The polls closed at 8 pm ET and at 7 pm IT.

It is a favorable race for the Republicans. The district, which includes the suburbs of the Dallas-Fort Worth metropolis, has been represented by Republicans for more than 30 years, and Wright won his election last fall by about 9 points. There are also fears that the Democratic nominee could miss the second round, leaving the two Republicans to face off. But the district itself tends to the left. As President of the GOP in 2012 Candidate Mitt Romney won the district with 17 points, while former President Donald Trump won only 3 last fall.

The leader of the Republican Party is Susan Wright, the widow of the deceased Congressman, a longtime GOP activist. Other Republicans include three former Trump administration officials: Brian Harrison, Serry Kim, and Michael Egan, as well as State Representative Ake Ells, Michael Wood, an Afghanistan war veteran, and a Republican against Trump who won the Rep. Adam Kinzinger, R-Ill., And Dan Rodimer, a former professional wrestler who ran in the Nevada Congressional Race last year.

Trump later endorsed Wright in the race, although there were a few Republicans who fought impatiently for his support. This week’s contest was spread by a rookie who came out of the district accusing Wright of causing her husband’s death.

The priceless recording of NBC News was first reported by Politico. “It is illegal, immoral, wrong. “The sewer is not deep enough for some politicians not to fall,” Wright told Politico. The Wright campaign was a call to action against local law enforcement agencies, but its origins are still unclear.

The Democrat Jana Lin Sanchez, who was nominated for the seat in 2018, is considered the leader of the party. Other candidates include Lydia Bean, a former State House candidate, and Sean Lassiter, a nonprofit manager and educator.
