The investigation of the arrest led the police to an “unexpected” revelation inside the Texas house. More than 90 people have gathered, some of whom may have been infected with COVID-19.
Houston police learned of the possible kidnapping An investigation was conducted overnight on Thursday, securing a search warrant for a house in the southwestern part of the city, officials said.
“It was a big surprise when we entered the house and saw what we were seeing,” said Darin Edwards, a police assistant.
Inside the two-story house, the SWAT team found 91 people between the ages of 20 and 30, five women, mostly in the men’s group, officials said.
Investigators believe they collided with a human smuggling an action that no one in the community found.
“We have not heard anything from any of them, anything that would make them believe that there is such a thing inside,” Edwards said. “It’s very amazing.”
Some people reported COVID-19 symptoms, including odor և loss of taste և fever. Officials say the city’s health department went home to test for the virus.
People stayed indoors until the health department could decide who might need quarantine.
“We are concerned that there may be a positive RELATIONSHIP inside the home,” Edwards said.
At the same time, the National Security Investigation was trying to find out who brought these people home.
“We have to separate who the victims are,” Edwards said. “Anyone who does this as soon as they know we’re here will probably try to be a part of it.”
